For years, I thought I had a focus problem.
Affiliate marketing.
Business.
AI.
Travel.
Photography.
Fitness.
They looked like unrelated interests.
And depending on who you asked, probably too many.
Pick a niche.
Be more specific.
Choose a direction.
Stay in your lane.
I’m starting to think I was looking at it the wrong way.
I’m rarely interested in the subject alone.
I’m interested in what happens underneath it.
Why does one affiliate promote an offer while another walks away?
Why does an organization ignore information that contradicts what leadership wants to believe?
Why does one neighborhood feel like somewhere people live while another feels like somewhere built for visitors?
Why are people buying old cameras while AI can generate technically perfect photographs?
Different subjects.
Same curiosity.
I’m interested in how people and systems behave when the environment around them changes.
That seems to be the thread running through almost everything I work on.
Maybe the challenge isn’t narrowing it down.
Maybe it’s getting better at noticing – and explaining what I see.
